ADVANCED TEKLA DETAILER

Are you a highly experienced PEMB Detailer looking for a flexible, remote opportunity where your expertise is respected, and your independence is trusted?

A growing, privately owned metal building supplier is hiring a Senior or Advanced-Level Tekla Detailer to join their team. This company completes all of its own engineering and detailing work in-house and partners with external fabricators. They specialize in high-complexity projects and foster a fast-paced, accuracy-driven environment where performance is valued over bureaucracy.

The Role

In this position, you’ll take full ownership of detailing projects, typically one at a time, from kickoff through completion. The work leans heavily toward complex PEMB projects , including hips, valleys, and cranes, requiring expert-level use of Tekla Structures . You’ll work closely with engineers and internal teams to ensure fabrication and erection drawings are highly accurate and optimized for downstream processes.

While the role is remote , it’s anything but disconnected. You’ll participate in a short team sync on Monday mornings and collaborate through Teams to resolve challenges and share updates as needed. Outside of that, you're trusted to manage your own time and workload . This is a team of experienced professionals who get things done without micromanagement, and they’re looking for someone who thrives in that kind of environment.

What It Takes

· The ideal candidate brings 5–10+ years of PEMB detailing experience and the same level of expert proficiency in Tekla Structures . You understand the downstream impact your work has on the shop and field, and you know how to catch issues before they cost time or money.

· A strong understanding of structural engineering principles and metal building design is essential. Experience with other tools like AutoCAD or Revit is a plus, but not required. You should be someone who can consistently produce high-quality, accurate drawings while working independently, meeting deadlines, and proactively seeking the next project once one is complete.

· Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and collaboration skills are a must. This team communicates clearly and works fast, and they're looking for someone who can keep pace and contribute without needing to be closely managed.
