What is the opportunity?

The primary purpose of this position is to support operational projects and remediations to ensure regulatory compliance. This role will assist in business requirements for projects and remediations and will partner with Operational and business-wide resources to assess and design new processes or process modifications to mitigate risk. You will apply your experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of assignments.

What will you do?

  • Partner with Ops teams to assess, research, and analyze events requiring remediation or areas of opportunities to enhance the WM Ops Risk framework. Support Operations with the implementation of regulatory risk projects and initiatives and help lead Ops partners through the project lifecycle process.
  • Participate in business requirement development, UAT testing, end-user training, and implementation support for enhancements and new firm initiatives for changing technology systems, supporting department processes.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for end-user efficiency solutions. Consult with RBC IT and vendor resources to research and resolve both system and user-generated exceptions.
  • Though critical thinking and data analysis will assess gaps and areas for improvement, work with Ops teams to determine risk factors and implementation requirements/impact. Support the development and execution of back-office capabilities and strategies with detailed business cases, and other business deliverables.
  • Participate in business requirement development, UAT testing, end-user training, and implementation support for enhancements and new firm initiatives for changing technology systems, supporting department processes.
  • Analyze and resolve escalated problems/issues while ensuring adherence to all regulatory and firm policy requirements.
  • Support WM Ops Risk & and Control Committee representation by analyzing incoming process change requests, C&C firms and products for impacts and risks to Operations and prepare for discussion.
  • Prepare effective PowerPoint presentations; will be responsible for routine Ops Regulatory Risk and Control business updates.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent or High school diploma or equivalent AND 5+ years of securities, banking, technology and/or job specific industry experience
  • 3+ years prior securities, banking, technology and/or job specific related industry experience
  • 2+ years demonstrated project team coordination and/or coaching/mentoring leadership experience
  • Series 99 or ability to obtain in 120 days

Nice-to-have

  • 3+ years business process redesign, robotics & AI, VBA development, MS Access development, analysis and/or risk control experience
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in business, finance, or related field

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $65,000 - $115,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
