Position Description: A temporary research assistant position in the area of
computational and theoretical chemistry is available in the Thompson research group in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Louisville. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing new quantum chemistry methodologies, using both in-house and external computational chemistry software, preparing journal articles and attending research conferences to disseminate results.
Potential candidates should have programming experience, preferably within electronic structure packages, ability to use computational chemistry software to develop understanding of chemical systems, effective communication skills and a Ph.D or equivalent in Chemistry.
