This role is for a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN) to provide skilled nursing care in a psychiatric facility. The nurse will be responsible for patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Experience in crisis intervention and knowledge of stroke care are required.

Responsibilities:
- Providing skilled nursing care to psychiatric patients.
- Conducting patient assessments.
- Administering medications.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
- Performing EKGs.
- Managing crisis situations.
- Providing stroke-related care (based on required certifications).
- Documenting patient care.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NYS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Crisis Intervention Training.
- AHA NIHSS certification.
- 6 continuing education units (CEUs) on stroke-related topics.
- Proctored EKG exam completion on Day 1.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or declination.
- Minimum of two years of experience in hospital, home health, or hospice care (inferred from fallback template).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Travel nursing experience.
Special Considerations:
- Every other weekend and every other holiday shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM).
- The facility has the right to cancel up to 3 shifts at no cost during the assignment.
- Travelers from within 60 miles of the facility are not accepted.
