A premier four-season mountain resort in the Pacific Northwest is seeking an accomplished Pastry Chef de Cuisine to lead its pastry program. This is an exceptional opportunity for a creative and technically skilled pastry professional to oversee production for multiple outlets, including fine dining, casual restaurants, banquets, in-room dining, and spa/coffee shop offerings. Beyond the kitchen, you’ll enjoy excellent health coverage, a supportive relocation package, exceptional employee perks, and the unmatched quality of life that comes with living in a four-season mountain resort community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct daily pastry operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality desserts and confections.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a pastry team while fostering a collaborative and positive work culture.
  • Develop menus and recipes that reflect both classical techniques and contemporary trends.
  • Manage budgets, purchasing, labor, and inventory with a focus on quality and cost control.
  • Uphold the highest standards of sanitation, safety, and presentation.
  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and assume leadership responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Formal pastry culinary training.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership pastry role within a luxury hotel, resort, or private club.
  • Expertise across plated desserts, banquets, breads, chocolate, and contemporary pastry trends.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a hands-on leadership style.
  • Proven ability to balance creativity with financial responsibility.
  • Enthusiasm for living and working in a small mountain community with abundant outdoor recreation.

Compensation & Lifestyle
This position offers a competitive salary, benefits, and the opportunity to live in one of the country’s most scenic four-season resort towns, surrounded by mountains, lakes, and world-class outdoor activities.
