Legal Billing Specialist

• $55,000–$65,000 annual salary
• Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week

ROLE IMPACT
The Legal Billing Specialist plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes for a busy law firm. Success in this role supports the firm's financial operations by managing invoice volume, upholding billing compliance standards, and maintaining strong communication with attorneys and clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Generate and revise monthly pre-bills and final invoices based on attorney and client specifications
• Upload invoices using LEDES format across major e-billing platforms including Legal Tracker, Collaborati, and Tymetrix
• Manage high-volume invoice processing with accuracy and within billing guidelines
• Maintain communication with attorneys and clients to resolve billing inquiries and assist with collections
• Support billing department initiatives and special projects as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 4–6+ years of billing experience in a legal setting, including 2–3+ years of electronic billing
• Proficient in SurePoint LMS Billing and Time software
• Understanding of UTBMS Litigation and Activity codes
• Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
