Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist with data searches using Epic tools such as SlicerDicer to support student and resident research projects.
-Help organize clinical data in collaboration with students, residents, and faculty.
-Support the preparation of basic data reports, charts, or tables to summarize findings.
-Participate in team discussions to ensure data usage aligns with institutional guidelines and privacy regulations.
-Communicate with Epic system administrators and IT staff when support is needed.
-Learn and follow HIPAA and institutional policies to protect patient privacy and ensure data security.
-Document steps taken during data requests and help maintain internal process guides.
Motivated and detail-oriented team members to assist medical students and residents with their research by helping organize and prepare clinical data. This entry-level role involves learning to use Epics Electronic Health Record (EHR) tools (such as SlicerDicer and Cosmos) under guidance to gather meaningful insights that support academic studies and evidence-based practice
Education:
Required:
-Bachelor's degree in fields such as public health, statistics, biology, psychology, or a related discipline.
Experience:
Required:
-Familiarity with Epic EHR systems or coursework/experience involving EHRs is helpful but not required training will be provided.
-Interest in clinical research or healthcare data is strongly preferred.
-Comfortable using Microsoft Excel or similar tools; exposure to statistical software (e.g., R, SPSS) is a bonus, but not required.
-Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn on the job.
-Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with students, residents, and faculty.
