**Job Title: Office Professional**

**About Us:**

We are a mid-sized law firm seeking a dedicated and experienced office professional to join our friendly team on a full-time basis. This role is crucial in delivering outstanding customer service to our clients and ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Be an essential member of our 35-person administrative team, managing a busy multi-line phone system and facilitating new client intake.
- Perform various support tasks, including:
- Typing business letters and emails
- Copying, scanning, and faxing documents
- Managing electronic files
- Scheduling and calendaring using Outlook
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail, including postage meter usage
- Maintaining office supply inventory and placing orders
- Coordinating facility needs and assisting visitors
- Collaborating with vendors and receiving deliveries
- Setting up and cleaning conference rooms
- Organizing office lunches and assisting with additional tasks as needed

**Key Competencies:**

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a law firm or similar environment
- Strong attention to detail (this is essential!)
- Proficient in managing a multi-line phone system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High proficiency in MS Office, especially Word and Outlook; some Excel experience is required
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Comfortable in a support role, able to take direction, work independently, and meet deadlines
- Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a positive, collegial work atmosphere

**Physical Requirements:**

- Primarily a seated position at a desk, involving repetitive actions such as using a mouse and keyboard, looking at computer monitors, and answering phones.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with callers.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including walking, bending, and safely lifting 30-40 pounds (e.g., office supply orders).
- Ability to navigate stairs within the office regularly.

**Work Environment:**

- This is an in-person position located in our downtown Tacoma office. Due to the nature of the role, remote work is not typically available, except during temporary situations like inclement weather or government closures.
